Description
‘Topeng’ means mask. In Bali, mask carving is one of the oldest traditional art forms. One that is deeply connected to nature, spirit, and ancestral tradition.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn step by step with master mask maker, dancer, and musician Kadek Sudiasa. Trained from childhood, Kadek brings deep knowledge of Bali’s sacred mask traditions and shares his craft with patience and care.
Open to all levels, from complete beginners to experienced carvers, each session is tailored to your pace. All tools and materials are provided.
Classes are held by reservation and held at the carvers home studio. A minimum of 2 hours is recommended in a relaxed, informal setting. A minimum of a fullday workshop (6 hours) is required for a rough finished mask. A two hour session is an introduction.
