Oils, Herbs, and Spices in Ayurveda: Pantry to Apothecary with Michael Green
In Ayurveda, cooking oils, spices, and other ingredients are considered medicine if used wisely. In this talk, we’ll discuss the ‘do’s and don’ts’ of oils, spices, and other ingredients according to Ayurveda and modern science, and review common kitchen toxins that can be easily exchanged for superfoods.
Bio:
Michael received his Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University and is a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner from Southern California University of Health Sciences. He completed his meditation teacher training at UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC), and is a certified mindfulness teacher through the International Mindfulness Teacher’s Association (IMTA). He spent 20 years between New York City, Los Angeles, and Koh Phangan, Thailand, and is now based in Ubud.
